My Music Magazine Cover
After creating the digital mockup of my cover, I realised I had strayed away from the idea of my genre, it became more of a electro/synth rock magazine rather than pure rock and aleternative. Therefore, when it came to creating my own original piece I changed the colour scheme to blue. This chilled blue feels much more electronic than the previous but still holds the harshness of a rock genre. Simple effects like a glow help make the splash look like a cool neon sign, like nightlife music, which is related to DJs.

Creating An Original Barcode
When it came to having a barcode at first I was stumped with how to go about it. But, a friend in the older year told me to go on the website dafont. Like I previously posted, this sit has thousands of fonts to download, and fortunately for me it even has a barcode font. This font basically allowed me to type numbers and it would appear as a barcode I had to make sure to pick a font in which the author allows it to be shared and used for personal or commercial use.
Photos - MALE
These are a few photos of a boy for my music magazine, I had the idea to maybe have alternate covers of the duo (artists), one being a male front cover and the other being female. Both my models have dark hair and blue eyes therefore both the covers can have the same housestyle. These photos above were specifically for the front cover. I was hoping to capture an image of the artist looking quite devious and cheeky rather than too serious. The main thing I wanted to focus on was the artists eyes as I feel they are the most important thing needed to engage the audience.

Digital Mockup
This is my digital mockup of what my music magazine could look like. I have just used images of famous bands and artists from the web for this draft. I purposley chose the colours red, black and yellow as I feel they are the msot appropriate for my choice on genre. I used a lot of banner-styles headlines because I believe this gave off a more youthful appearance, it's as though someone has placed stickers on the front cover. It features the majority of conventions from a popular music magazine for it's genre such as Kerrang! or Rocksound.

Finding a Font
When it came to choosing a font for my magazine title, I went over to the website dafont. This website has thousands of fonts to choose from, and are all freeware. However, upon choosing a font I had to make sure to pick a font in which the author allows it to be shared and used for personal or commercial use.
